SanDisk has unveiled a new high-speed card reader, the QuickFlow TF, aimed at content creators.

The compact device, rolling out globally at around US$49.99 (A$75), supports USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 and delivers transfer speeds of up to 190MB/s, targeting photographers and videographers working with large RAW image files and 4K video.

It is compatible with both UHS-I and UHS-II microSD cards, offering flexibility for users across different storage formats.

Designed with portability in mind, the QuickFlow TF measures just 30.48 x 20.70 x 8.76 mm and weighs 21.2 grams, making it easy to slip into a camera bag or pocket.

SanDisk says the reader is built to streamline workflows by reducing transfer times between capture, editing and backup.

The device connects to laptops, desktops and some smartphones via USB-C, while maintaining backward compatibility with USB 3.0 and 2.0. It operates in temperatures from 0°C to 45°C and comes with a two-year limited warranty.

The launch comes amid continued demand for high-performance storage accessories, with rivals also pushing the space.

ADATA recently introduced an NFC-enabled portable SSD, while Samsung expanded its SSD lineup with an 8TB model.
