Samsung To Debut Foldable Smartphone At MWC 2019

Recent reports suggest Samsung will unveil its tenth-anniversary Galaxy smartphone (the ‘S10’) around January next year, a few weeks prior to the forecast unveiling of its first foldable smartphone at Mobile World Congress 2019.

According to South Korea’s The Bell, Samsung has asked suppliers to start providing components for its foldable smartphone, with the view to have parts ready later this year.

It’s not the first time Samsung has launched a flagship smartphone ahead of historic schedule – the new Galaxy S9 was unveiled a month before the S8 last year.

Samsung’s Galaxy S9 was launched on the eve of Mobile World Congress 2018.

To prevent one new device stealing the spotlight from the other, it makes sense Samsung would want to unveil both devices at least a month apart.

Largely based on early reports thus far, consumers will have to hold their breath to see what eventuates closer to CES and MWC 2019.
