Samsung Targets ‘Chore Snacking’ Trend With Upgraded Jet 95S Cordless Vacuum
Samsung has expanded its cordless stick vacuum range in Australia, introducing the Jet 95S as it leans into a growing shift in how households approach cleaning.
The new model focuses on quick, frequent clean-ups rather than occasional deep cleans, reflecting what Samsung says is a widespread habit among Australians. More than three-quarters of households now prefer to tackle smaller cleaning tasks throughout the day to stay on top of mess, rather than leaving everything for the weekend.

At the centre of the Jet 95S is a boost in performance. The vacuum delivers up to 280W of suction, around 33 per cent more than the previous Jet 95, while still maintaining a lightweight design aimed at everyday use. Battery life stretches up to 60 minutes, positioning it as a device that can handle both short bursts of cleaning and longer sessions without interruption.
The timing of the launch aligns with broader changes in behaviour that emerged during pandemic lockdowns. What Samsung describes as “chore snacking” has persisted, with many people continuing to break cleaning into smaller tasks across the day. For some, it is not just about convenience. More than two-thirds of Australians link regular cleaning to improved mental wellbeing and reduced stress.

The Jet 95S introduces a few features designed to support that more casual, on-demand style of cleaning. A motion-based pause function stops the vacuum automatically when it is set down, then resumes within a minute when picked up again. There is also an automatic power adjustment mode that detects carpet and increases suction without user input.
Hygiene has also been a focus. The unit includes a HEPA filtration system that captures up to 99.99 per cent of fine dust particles, alongside a dual brush system and a built-in mechanism to reduce hair tangling. Additional tools are included for tighter spaces, pet hair and hard-to-reach areas, suggesting Samsung is positioning the product as a flexible all-round cleaner rather than a niche device.

Storage and charging are handled through a freestanding dock, which doubles as an organiser for attachments and can fully recharge the battery in around 3.5 hours.
The Jet 95S is available now across Australia with a recommended retail price of $799, sitting below Samsung’s higher-end models such as the Bespoke Jet AI Ultra. The company appears to be aiming this release at households that want strong performance without stepping into premium pricing territory, while still aligning with changing cleaning habits that prioritise speed, convenience and consistency.
