Samsung Sets Date For Unpacked, S22 Launch

After teasing “the most noteworth S series ever created” earlier this week, Samsung has announced it will hold its Unpacked 2022 event on February 10.

This will mark the first public reveal of the Galaxy S22 smartphone which Samsung promises will “set an epic new standard for smartphones.”

The event will begin at midnight on that day (an hour earlier, AEST).

An official event trailer seems to be hyping the S22’s ability to shoot clear images in low light settings, touting the phrases “Break through the night” and “Break the rules of light.” If they can manage to capture decent photos at night, this will be a game-changer for the smartphone industry.

“At Unpacked in February 2022, we’ll introduce you to the most noteworthy S series device we’ve ever created,” Roh Tae-moon, president and head of Samsung’s Mobile, wrote earlier this week.

He also said the phone will boast “the best and brightest photos and videos” and “power, speed and tools that can’t be found elsewhere.”
