Samsung won their design patent for a foldable tablet back in February – a design it’s expected other manufacturers like HP and Dell may also adopt.
Now expectations are the game-changer is likely to hit the market in a year or two, with speculation it could launch as early as Q1 2022.
A marketing video for Samsung’s new OLED display shows a woman opening what appears to be the foldable tablet like a notebook, with the keyboard area a gaming pad.
The video ends with her folding it back as a large tablet.
Apple also won a patent for a foldable device earlier this month, which could display as split screen or one large image.
Obviously this all equates to a major shift in the tablet market.
Of course, Samsung have already changed the phone landscape with their foldable Z Flip and Z Fold phones.
