Samsung have announced that Citibank debit card users are now able to access Samsung Pay.
Citibank was one of the original partners when Samsung Pay first launched in Australia in June 2016, with initial support for the company’s credit cards as well as credit cards issued by American Express.
More Citibank customers will now be able to use Samsung’s mobile payment service with the added support for debit cards.
Last month, support for millions of Westpac credit and debit cards was also added to Samsung Pay.
“Through our partnerships with Australian financial institutions and loyalty card providers, we are bringing our customers closer to replacing their physical wallets with their Galaxy smartphones,” Richard Fink, Vice President, Mobile Division at Samsung Australia, said at the time.
Samsung Pay is available on the recently launched Galaxy S8 and S8+, as well as other Galaxy smartphones and Gear smartwatches.
More information about Samsung Pay can be found on Samsung’s website.
