Samsung Monitors Feature Recycled Materials
Certain Samsung monitors and digital signage will now make use of recycled materials as part of the company’s ‘Together For Tomorrow’ program.
The Together For Tomorrow program was announced in January of this year, with “everyday sustainability” in mind
Samsung has dedicated itself to reducing it’s environmental footprint, making use of eco-conscious packaging and recyclable parts on their digital signage products starting last year, as well as the roll out of energy efficient Smart Signage for 2022. Box holders, plastic bags, Styrofoam and other packaging materials will now make use of recycled materials while their Eco-Packaging program will recycle cardboard boxes into furniture and other items.

Samsung has also developed a ‘System on Chip’ solution which is able to reduce energy usage and waste by displaying content without the need for additional technology. The company also claim that the lifespan of their products has been increased and added “enhanced durability to further minimize waste”.
In recognition of their efforts, Samsung have received ENERGY STAR EPEAT (Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool) certifications for their 2022 Smart Signage line-up, as well as Carbon Trust’s reducing CO2 label for their LCD and LED Signage, as well as their Business monitor.
The company also was awarded the ‘Sustainability Innovation of the Year” award at the AV News Awards for their newfound sustainable practices.
“We are committed to ensuring everyday sustainability throughout our signage portfolio and playing a major role in reimagining a better planet”, said Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, Hyesung Ha.
“As we are grateful for the recognition of our efforts, we plan to make each step count as [we] collectively change production practices for a sustainable future”.
