Samsung Expands Rugged Device Distribution With Ingram Micro Australia
Samsung Electronics Australia has expanded its B2B Mobile eXperience (MX) distribution network, appointing Ingram Micro Australia as a new partner for its rugged smartphone and tablet portfolio.
The move is aimed at accelerating Samsung’s growth across enterprise, government and frontline industries by widening access to its Knox-secured, IP-rated devices through Ingram Micro’s national reseller and systems integrator network.
Samsung said demand for rugged devices is rising across sectors including retail, healthcare, construction and mining, prompting the need to strengthen its local channel ecosystem.

“We are experiencing an increased appetite for rugged devices… strengthening our distribution ecosystem is critical,” said Shawn Kwon, Vice President of Integrated B2B at Samsung Electronics Australia.
Kwon added that the partnership would expand customer choice and extend reach across frontline industries.
The agreement, which builds on an existing relationship between Samsung and Ingram Micro, is expected to open new opportunities for solution bundling and deployment in complex environments such as logistics, transport and field services.

Ingram Micro Australia’s Director of Consumer, Client & Endpoint, Mo Kandeel, said the expanded partnership would enable the distributor to deliver “best-in-class mobility, security and productivity solutions” while helping Samsung scale its presence across commercial, government and education markets.
Samsung’s rugged portfolio includes smartphones and tablets with IP68 ratings and MIL-STD-810H durability, backed by its Knox security platform.
The company said the expanded channel will allow partners to more easily deliver end-to-end solutions spanning hardware, software and cloud services, as it continues to grow its B2B footprint in Australia.
