Richard Fink Appointed Samsung Australia VP, IT & Mobile Division

Samsung Australia has appointed Richard Fink as its vice president, IT & mobile division, with Fink starting in the role effective immediately.

The appointment sees Fink taking on responsibility for Samsung’s mobile and IT business, including the consumer, enterprise and retail sectors.

Fink, who most recently was head of store transformation at Coles, brings 13 years’ telecommunications industry experience to the role, having worked at Telstra in executive positions across marketing, category management, supply chain and retail operations.

“Mr Fink has a track record of building success through business transformation,” Samsung Australia president Harry Lee stated.

“Today’s competitive smartphone market requires innovative thinking, and I believe Richard’s depth of experience and leadership qualities will add another dimension to our business to deliver ongoing success.”

Fink stated that he is “pleased to be joining Samsung at such an exciting time for its IT and mobiles business”.

“With the advent of virtual reality, wearable technology and mobile payments, never before have mobile devices played a more central role in people’s lives,” he commented. “Samsung is at the very forefront of these innovations, which brings about huge opportunities for the business.

“I am looking forward to working with our customers, and the Samsung team, to continue the growth and success of the business in Australia.”
