Designed for boardrooms or conference rooms, pubs and clubs, staging and rental companies the new screen is also set to be popular for customised high-end home theatre applications according to Len Wallis of Len Wallis Audio in Sydney.

The new display screen is thinner than past models and includes the latest energy-efficient, double luminance technology, NeoPDP which is designed to deliver crisp, blur-free dynamic image reproduction.
NeoPDP’s improvements in luminance efficiency have also allowed downsizing and integration of components. As a result, the panel is equivalent in size to four 42-inch panels despite it being only 99mm in depth.
Mark Deere-Jones, Director, Business Systems Group, Panasonic Australia said the introduction of the new screen size is in response to the increased use of digital content in Australia’s commercial environments – including digital signage, hospitality and conferencing applications which require larger, commercial-grade panels for maximum visual impact.
“There has been a growing demand for larger flat panel displays in Australia, and for many years customers have chosen Panasonic commercial Plasma displays to provide a quality, flexible and reliable solution across a diverse range of applications.”
“Our new 85-inch NeoPDP Plasma display panel offers the most impressive image-producing technology, and bridges the gap between our 65-inch and gigantic 103-inch Plasma, to broaden the choice for businesses seeking to communicate via digital means,” said Deere-Jones.
