NetSuite Releases First iPad Cloud App

Online One has today unveiled the oneScan iPad application for NetSuite software, bringing in the first ever cloud ERP suite mobile solution to Apple’s iPad.

Built using NetSuite’s SuiteCloud platform, the app looks set to redefine management of business operations enabling users to base their core business operations in the cloud, allowing instant information including inventory data and also perform other warehouse floor tasks across remote locations.

The system cuts operating costs and improves productivity, killing the need for warehouse solutions including scan gun technology and PDA, according to the company.

Managers can now “get real-time visibility into stock and inventory information while performing daily warehouse floor tasks, and eliminate double entry and common operator errors.”

On the warehouse floor, it allows staff to streamline their day to day tasks with an application, using either the iPad touchscreen and/provider of online applications or a Bluetooth-connected barcode scanner.

Inventory control can also be improved helping to ensure data matches exactly the actual stock on hand, the location and the serial/batch numbers.

“OneScan extends the benefits of NetSuite’s cloud ERP to every aspect of business – front-office, back-office, through to the rigorous demands of the warehouse floor,” according to Technical Director Brian Billingsley from Online One, the Australian provider of the application.

With oneScan, we’re pleased to bring the power of NetSuite to the iPad and enable firms to rapidly transition warehouse staff from laborious data entry to productive customer service roles.”

“The NetSuite SuiteCloud platform enables independent software vendors (ISVs) such as Online One to introduce high quality, powerful and industry-specific applications with unprecedented speed and cost effectiveness,” said Chris Schafer NetSuite’s APAC MD.

Founded in October 1998 by Evan Goldberg and Larry Ellison, US based NetSuite is one of the world’s most widely used business software application suites and is a leader in cloud based services, which allows business ops including resource planning, accounting, and e-commerce to be condensed into a single system.
