Huawei Revs Up Mate20 RS Series With Porsche Collab

Even with the ongoing privacy saga, Huawei is continuing to push its premium products into the Australian market, introducing the new PORSCHE DESIGN HUAWEI Mate 20 RS Series, available now for $2,599 RRP at Leica store, JB Hi-Fi online, and Mobileciti online.

It is the fourth handset to join the line-up and the latest collaboration between Porsche Design and Huawei.

The phone features Huawei’s Kirin 980 chipset, also used the Mate Pro 20 which was declared “Best Smartphone” at MWC 2019 which boasts AI capabilities and cutting-edge 7nm process.

 

Encased within an automotive-inspired case, with two genuine leather separated by a pane of glass with racing stripes to provide a “luxury twist” to the device.

The Mate 20 RS Series features a Leica Triple Camera system underneath the glass pane, including a 40MP main camera, 20MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens, all arranged in a 2 x 2 matrix.

For security, the Mate 20 RS features an In-Screen Fingerprint sensor and 3D Face Unlock which Huawei claim authenticates users at a false acceptance rate of below 1/1,000,000, can identify a user in under 0.6 seconds including in pitch-black darkness.

Huawei’s latest PORSCHE DESIGN houses a 4,200mAh battery that can be charged to 70% in 30 minutes thanks to its 40W Huawei SuperCharge, and it supports Huawei Wireless Reverse Charge.

The PORSCHE DESIGN HUAWEI Mate 20 RS is now available at RRP$2599 from Leica store, JB Hi-Fi online and Mobileciti online.
