Google’s upcoming Pixel 10 Pro Fold is shaping up to be the most capable Pixel foldable yet, with the latest leaks pointing to Qi2 wireless charging via magnets and a new ‘Pixelsnap’ accessory ecosystem, a larger cover display, IP68 dust and water resistance, and Google’s Tensor G5 chip under the hood.

According to well-sourced tipster Evan Blass, the device will also debut magnetic charging capability for Pixel foldables.

Early leaks also point to hardware and software upgrades, with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, improved telephoto zoom, and enhanced low-light performance powered by Google’s latest AI image processing.

Combined with the larger cover display, this could make the Pixel 10 Pro Fold a strong contender for on-the-go content creators.

Google will unveil the Pixel 10 Pro Fold at its Made by Google event on August 20. But Aussies will need to wait until 9 October to buy it, with the Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a also launching on that date.

Industry chatter points to supply chain constraints as the cause of the delay.

Spec-wise, the foldable is expected to pack a 5,015mAh battery, support 23W wired and 15W Qi2 wireless charging, and sport a 6.4-inch outer display. It may be slightly thicker and heavier than the Pixel 9 Pro Fold due to the larger battery and charging hardware.

The arrival of Qi2 should mean faster, more consistent wireless charging, better alignment on pads, and a growing range of compatible magnetic accessories.

This will mirror the MagSafe experience Apple is expected to expand this year.
