Optus Buffers Streaming Deal With Stan and ABC

Optus has found great success with their new data-free mobile streaming packages and are sweetening the deal by adding support for local players Stan and ABC iview.

“Optus customers have been quick to embrace Mobile TV streaming.  Our customers that have taken up Mobile TV have more than doubled the amount of time they spend watching streaming content on their mobile devices” Tim Cowan, Head of Mobile Marketing at Optus, said.

The company’s Mobile TV packages now offer access to video content on Netflix, Stan, Presto, ABC iview and ABC KIDS iview for $10 per month on My Plan Plus and My Mobile Broadband Plus plans or for no additional cost on other selected plans.

“We know that our customers are really enjoying the freedom and certainty over their data that comes with Mobile TV streaming. This is an exciting step for Optus as we continue to expand our entertainment offering for customers and deliver a great entertainment experience,” Cowan said.

Stan recently launched the second season of their critically acclaimed comedy series No Activity and greenlit a series of exclusive comedy specials for the service.
