Oppo has unleashed what may prove to be the biggest game changer showcased at MWC this year: its 150W SuperVOOC charging standard that will revive a dead phone to full battery within 15 minutes.
The feature will first appear on the company’s next OnePlus smartphone later in the year, and while super fast charging usually depletes a battery’s overall lifespan, Oppo is touted its ‘Battery Health Enginge’, which will optimise charging speeds based on how much energy is needed.
It claims that, after 1,600 full charges, the battery will still retain 80 per cent of its capacity. That’s well over four years, if you charge your phone each day.
