OPPO Sets Australian Launch Date For AI-Powered Reno16 Series
OPPO has confirmed its new Reno16 Series will launch in Australia on July 23, with the range starting from A$999.
The line-up includes the Reno16 Pro and Reno16 F, with OPPO pitching both models as having improved cameras, AI editing features and longer battery life.
The Reno16 Pro will be priced at A$1,599 and available in white and black, while the Reno16 F will start at A$999 and come in white and violet.
Both models feature OPPO’s new 3D Pop Planet Design, while the white version uses the company’s HoloVerse 3D Technology to create a floating, nebula-like effect across the rear finish.
The Australian launch follows Oppo’s global Reno 16 reveal late last month, where the company also unveiled a quirky magnetic second-screen accessory called ‘Oppo Bubble’.

On the camera front, both phones include a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera with a 100-degree field of view, aimed at group photos, travel shots and social content.
The Reno16 Pro and Reno16 F also feature triple rear camera systems with optical image stabilisation, a telephoto portrait camera with around 3.5x optical zoom, and an ultra-wide camera. The Reno16 Pro adds a 200MP Ultra-Clear Main Camera, giving users more room to crop and reframe images while retaining detail.
OPPO is also leaning heavily into AI-powered editing.
A new Create hub in the Photos app brings together tools including AI Remix Collage and Popout Collage 2.0, allowing users to create layered edits, animated stickers and frame-breaking visual effects directly on the device.

The Reno16 Series runs ColorOS 16 and introduces an AI Snap Key on a Reno device for the first time. The button gives quick access to AI Mind Space, which can capture and organise on-screen content for later use.
The Reno16 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super Platform and includes a 6,000mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging. The Reno16 F uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy Platform and has a larger 6,500mAh battery.
Both models also feature IP68, IP69 and IP69K water and dust resistance.
Oppo also recently launched its first semi-in-ear earbuds, the Enco Air5s, featuring active noise cancellation.
