Oppo has announced the final stage of its ColorOS 16 software rollout, revealing the March 2026 schedule for the remaining smartphones set to receive the update. The latest wave primarily targets mid-range models, signalling that the company is close to completing distribution of the Android-based operating system across its supported devices.

According to the timeline, the update begins on 5 March for the Oppo F31 Pro+ 5G and Oppo F31 Pro 5G. The Oppo K13x 5G is scheduled to receive the upgrade on 6 March. A second group of devices will follow on 10 March, including the Oppo Reno12 F, Reno12 FS, Reno11 FS and the Oppo K12x 5G. The final model listed for the rollout is the Oppo F31 5G, which is expected to receive the update on 17 March.

Some of these devices have already started receiving the software in limited markets. As with most large operating system upgrades, the release is expected to expand gradually across regions throughout the month.

Users whose phones appear on the list can check manually for the update by opening the device settings menu and navigating to the software update section. Because this is a major system upgrade, the download size is expected to be several gigabytes. Oppo recommends ensuring sufficient storage space and at least 50 per cent battery charge before starting the installation process.

The completion of the ColorOS 16 rollout marks the end of the current upgrade cycle for many supported devices. At the same time, reports suggest Oppo has already begun work on the next version of its software platform, which will be based on Android 17.

Google has already released the first public beta versions of Android 17, with additional testing builds expected over the coming weeks. The final version of the operating system is widely anticipated to launch in the third quarter of 2026, after which manufacturers such as Oppo typically begin adapting the software for their own devices and user interfaces.
