Office 365 Users Locked Out After Global Outage

Several Microsoft Office 365 users have reportedly struggled to login, after a global outage impaired multi-factor authentication systems.

Microsoft disclosed the issue on its status page, affecting some users since yesterday afternoon.

The outage is said to have locked some users out when attempting to login to Office 365 or Azure Active Directory.

Because the issue impacts multi-factor authentication, some Office 365 users claim they’re unable to trigger password resets.

Microsoft engineers have reportedly issued a fix, reporting a significant reduction in authentication errors.

According to its status page (below), Microsoft is continuing efforts to isolate the root cause of problems.
