Nvidia GPUs Coming To Acer’s New Cheap Gaming Laptop
Nvidia’s RTX 40-series graphics cards can be found in some of the best gaming laptops, usually costing a hefty price, meaning the choice would have to be made between an affordable option or access to Nvidia’s GPU cheat code. Now, Acer is launching a budget-friendly laptop set to be equipped with the same GPUs.
Called the Acer Nitro V 15, this laptop will be available in multiple configurations, each equipped with Intel’s latest 13th gen CPUs, with either the Core i5 or Core i7 models.
They will all also come with a 15.6 inch 144Hz display, featuring a Nvidia graphics card. Pricing is yet to be revealed, however the cheapest model is expected to feature a Core i5-13420H CPU, and an RTX 2050 GPU, paired with 8GB RAM, and a 512GB SSD.
By moving up the list, the specs improve. The top configuration is tipped to be equipped with an Intel Core i7-13620H CPU, a Nvidia RTX 4050 graphics card, 16GB RAM, and 1TB SSD. Storage and RAM can be increased to 2TB and 32GB.
Paired with Nvidia’s DLSS 3, RTX 4050 is proven to handle games that are “above its pay grade.” Acer have also claimed the Nitro V 15 will gain proper cooling, come with a dual fan and exhaust system, and have plenty of ports including, three USB-A, one combo USB-C/Thunderbolt 4, a HDMI, a 3.5mm audio jack, a Kensington lock, an Ethernet port, and a DC-in jack.
There are six configurations tipped to be available at launch, but won’t all be up for sale at the same retailers. Most will be directly sold by Acer, however two configurations will appear at Costco.
