Dick Smith Joins NORA Board

Four new retail heavyweights have joined national online retailers association (NORA) board, including Steve Toth, Dick Smith’s Director of Omni-Channel & Mobility and Patrick Schmidt CEO, The Iconic.

The four new retail execs joining the board include Schmidt and Toth, as well as Kevin McAulay from Super Retail Group and Lisa Powell of Amblique, who will replace four outgoing board members, announced at NORA’s AGM this week.
NORA chairman Paul Greenberg says “their presence clearly shows how serious the Australian retail sector is about new retail, and how optimistic we are about the future.”
“The new board members have specific experience in going through the bricks-to-clicks journey, as that’s what’s happening with Australia’s retail sector. It’s no longer just about new online players, it’s about traditionals getting online.”
New membership packages from $99, and benefits were also introduced for association members, at this weeks AGM, as well as NORA’s new website.
John Winning CEO of Winning Group and Mark Coulter from ArdenPoint Group already sit on the board.
