Newegg Celebrates 2nd Anniversary With Australian Expansion
E-retailer Newegg is celebrating its second anniversary of their Australian store with a new eBay store and a discount of their Premier customer benefit program.
The customer benefit program costs $59 (down from $79) and bestows members with free domestic shipping, no re-stocking fees and discounts on select items.
They hope that this, along with their eBay Australia store, with help drive further in-roads for the Australian market.
Newegg CEO Danny Lee was happy to talk up the move, saying “In two short years our Australian operation has grown significantly, and we are committed to continuing growth in the months and years ahead.”
The company began to cater to Australian customers in 2014 but has steadily upscale their local offering since then.
According to Newegg, they now ship “approximately 7,000 product SKUs from within Australia, with an additional 41,000 products available to Australian customers via Newegg’s North American channel.”
“All told, Newegg more than tripled its Australian revenue in just the past seven months.”
