New Leak Shows Google Pixel 8 AI Camera Updates
A recently released leak indicates that Google will be integrating more AI into its flagship smartphones, the Google Pixel range. Camera specs and a new AI promo video were released for the upcoming Pixel 8.
The company has claimed Magic Editor, a supercharged version of Magic Eraser, would come to “select” Pixel phones, allowing the user to remake any picture to look the way they want. Demonstrations showed three pictures being merged into one, and moving subjects around an image, removing background objects, and replacing skies that change the vibe of the lighting.
Also shown off was the new DSLR-style manual camera controls that allow the user to tweak shutter speed and ISO, as well as including a focus slider.
The leak indicated the Pixel 8 Pro will be gaining a better camera system, including a new 48MP ultrawide camera, complete with a 125.5 degree field of view. Also expected is a 48MP telephoto, with both cameras getting a 50MP wide camera.
Specs show the Pixel 8 gaining a similar 12MP ultrawide to the Pixel 7 Pro, increasing field of view from 114 degrees to 125.8 degrees.
