New Chinese Ecovac With Built In Camera Launched In OZ
Chinese cleaning Company, Ecovacs Robotics, has announced a new AI-driven robot vacuum cleaner, the Deebot OZMO T8 AIVI that has an inbuilt video camera.
The Company who went remarkable quiet on Australia after a change in management is not saying whether their sales have been affected by the anti-China sentiment sweeping global markets.
The new vac has artificial Intelligence technology for enhanced obstacle identification and avoidance, a new laser-based mapping and navigation system and, three hours battery.
Despite consumers getting concerned about Chinese mobile devices and security cameras Ecovacs has admitted that their device has an integrated camera which connects to a Wi Fi network.
This allows images to be streamed direct from a house to an outside cloud server or to a mobile phone.
The new Deebot is $1,299 and is available now with the OZMO Pro Oscillating Mopping System included at JB Hi Fi.
The unlock key to this device which competes with similar devices from Korean Company Samsung and LG is that it delivers intelligent cleaning that can map the home environment much faster, and with greater precision than current platforms, while detecting and avoiding common household objects in the process the Company claims.
Karen Powell, Country Manager for Ecovacs has not commented on the security risks associated with this device which can sit in a lounge streaming video of activities in a room.
“Ecovacs continues to drive innovation in home robotics, always striving to push the boundaries of what is possible when it comes to automated floor care”.
