New CEO & President Of Harman ‘Unanimously Elected’

Harman has announced Dinesh Paliwal will be stepping down after close to 13 years at the helm of the technology company, with Michael Mauser unanimously voted to succeed as President and Chief Executive Officer.

On 1 April, Michael Mauser, will join the Harman board of directors with Paliwal agreeing to stay on as a Senior Advisor until December 2020.

Mauser has been with Harman for 22 years, holding several executive and general management roles including Co-President of the Connected Car division and then President of HARMAN’s Lifestyle Audio division prior to being appointed as COO in June of 2019.

Chairman of the Board Young Sohn called Paliwal ‘a visionary leader’ who ‘has provided outstanding leadership over the past 13 years’.

Continuing, Sohn said Mauser’s ‘depth of experience and innovative thinking’ make him ‘the right person to usher in this next chapter of growth for Harman’.

Sentiments echoed by Paliwal who stated his confidence in Mauser taking Harman ‘to new and greater heights’.

‘Michael Mauser is exactly the right person to build on our success. He is a terrific executive with a long and proven track record of growing businesses’.
