MSI Expands From Gaming With First Business Laptop Series

Taiwanese PC manufacturer, MSI, has transitioned away from its gaming heritage and launched its first dedicated business laptops, pledging high-performance for commercial and enterprise customers.

The products are expected to go on sale from MSI’s website in October, and from selected authorised retailers.

The news follows the launch of MSI’s Creator laptop series, which supported the needs of creative professionals such as video editors and content creators.

The MSI ‘Business and Productivity’ laptop line harnesses the new 11th Gen Intel processors with Iris X graphics, and are one of the first products to be certified on the Intel Evo platform.

The laptops pledge high-performance for robust business productivity, and seek to cater to the growing trend of remote workers during the coronavirus pandemic.

“Today we are proud to introduce our first ever line of high-performance business and productivity laptops with features to address the needs of our changing workforce,” states Derek Chen, MSI Notebook Division-Global Sales & Marketing Director.

MSI’s ‘Business and Productivity’ laptops are broken into three sub-lines; Summit, Prestige and Modern.

The Summit B Series offers over ten hours of battery life in an ultra-portable form factor. The Summit E Series includes an infrared camera that supports Windows Help facial recognition.

New products include the MSI Summit E13 Flip, which is capable of flipping 360-degrees and provides a 2-in-1 hybrid tablet-laptop experience.

The upcoming MSI Prestige 14 Evo is one of the first laptops to be certified on the Intel Evo platform.

The laptops are designed with minimalism in mind, and seek to appeal to the taste of businesspersons worldwide – complete with a new logo, distinct from its gaming line-up.

The products aim to rectify common pain points from business professionals, boasting long battery-life, robust components for efficient productivity, AI noise cancellation for video conferencing, and a reliable webcam.
