Motorola Beats Samsung with Early Expanded Android 17 Beta Rollout
Motorola has expanded its Android 17 beta program, beating rival Samsung to an early rollout and opening testing to a broader range of devices in 2026.
Following Google’s initial Android 17 beta release in February, Motorola moved quickly to launch its own program and has now added several high-end models.
Newly supported devices include the Motorola Razr+ (2025 and 2024 variants), the Razr 50 Ultra across multiple regions, and the Edge 50 Ultra lineup.
The beta is already available on select models such as the Motorola Edge (2025) and Moto G57 series, marking a larger rollout than last year.

Registrations are open via Motorola’s community website, though places are limited and region-dependent.
As with any pre-release software, the Android 17 beta may include bugs and performance issues, making it better suited to secondary devices rather than daily drivers.
The move signals a stronger push from Motorola on software updates and early adopter engagement.
