Marshall has expanded its party speaker range with the new Bromley 150, a more compact wireless speaker designed to deliver powerful sound, lighting and more than 40 hours of battery life.

The British audio brand’s latest model was unveiled on September 29, rounding out a party-focused range that already includes the larger Bromley 450 and Bromley 750. The Bromley 150 is the most portable model in the line-up and is designed to combine Marshall’s distinctive styling with features aimed for parties, outdoor gatherings and karaoke sessions.

Marshall has fitted the Bromley 150 with 200 watts of Class D amplification and four speaker drivers. The company says the combination is designed to deliver rich mid-range frequencies, detailed highs and deep bass.

The speaker also uses Marshall’s Stereophonic 360 sound technology, which will distribute audio more evenly around the speaker, instead of directing sound towards one position. 

Portability is another key feature. The Bromley 150 has a retractable carry handle and an IP55 rating, so it has some protection against dust and water splashes. Though it is not waterproo, it is well suited to outdoor use like backyard gatherings and camping trips.

Battery life is a major selling point, with Marshall claiming more than 40 hours of playback from a single charge. When it does get low, a 20-minute charge can reportedly provide up to five hours of additional listening.

The Bromley 150 also goes beyond conventional Bluetooth playback. A combined XLR/6.3mm input allows users to connect a microphone or musical instrument, making it perfect for karaoke sessions or impromptu live performances. It also has a 3.5mm auxiliary connection and USB-C.

Marshall has carried over the distinctive design seen in the larger Bromley models, including a physical control panel and integrated lighting, that reacts to music, behind the front grille. 

Marshall’s larger Bromley 450 also offers 360-degree sound, 40-plus hours of playback, stage lighting, microphone and instrument inputs, and IP55 protection.

With this latest model however, Marshall is effectively taking the same party-focused formula and packaging it into a smaller, more portable format.

Australian pricing and availability for the new model will determine how it compares with established party-speaker rivals when it reaches the local market.

The Bromley 150 is available to preorder now for $699 with expected delivery mid October.
