Logitech and Microsoft have teamed up to bring native haptic feedback to Windows 11, with the Logitech MX Master 4 becoming the first productivity mouse to support the feature.

Available via a firmware update through Logi Options+, the MX Master 4 delivers subtle vibration feedback for actions such as snapping windows, resizing applications and aligning objects in Microsoft PowerPoint. New units shipping this Spring will include the functionality out of the box.

The move marks one of the first examples of advanced haptics being integrated into mainstream productivity hardware for Windows users, extending tactile feedback beyond gaming and mobile devices into workplace computing.

Logitech says additional haptic-enabled features will roll out over time through Windows 11 updates and third-party applications.

“Logitech is at the forefront of haptic innovation,” said Art O’Gnimh, General Manager of Mouse and Keyboard Solutions at Logitech.

“We integrated advanced haptic hardware into the MX Master 4 ahead of the curve, anticipating a shift toward more immersive operating systems.”

Microsoft’s Senior Director of Human Centred Design, Dave Dame, said the technology makes interactions “more responsive, clear and natural”.

As of today, Logitech claims the MX Master 4 remains the only productivity mouse offering native haptic integration with Windows 11.
