Logitech Launch New Gaming Mouse + Keyboard

Arriving alongside the already announced G413 gaming keyboard, Logitech have now announced Australian availability for their new G Pro Gaming Mouse and G Pro Mechanical keyboard.

The G Pro Gaming mouse promises to provide consistent and highly-accurate performance, courtesy of the product’s PMW3366 sensor and ergonomically optimized design. It also has a small amount of on-board memory, allowing users to save their exact DPI settings, button assignments, and lighting configurations.

The key aspect of the range being emphasized here is the nod of approval the products have gotten from the professional eSports scene.

Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham, a pro-player on Cloud 9’s CS:GO team, says that “after working closely with Logitech and extensive testing, the new Pro Gaming Mouse is my preferred mouse. With a comfortable shape and top-of-the-line sensor, I never have problems picking off my enemies.”

“Competing at the top level requires a well-built mouse,” he said.

Logitech tell us that while the G413 is pitched is a first step into the world of mechanical keyboards, the G Pro Mechanical is being touted as a device designed for the best by the best.

On the surface, it packs a lot of the same featureset as the G413. It’s got integrated USB-passthrough, LED backlit keys and exclusive Romer-G mechanical switches. However, it also differentiates itself on a few points.

Specifically, with design. The G Pro Mechanical Keyboard boasts a compact tenkeyless design that drops the number pad off the edge of the board and tosses in the same configurable on-board memory found in the G Pro mouse.

According to Ujesh Desai, vice president and general manager of Logitech G, “eSports athletes are extremely picky and demanding, and we love it.”

“We give them access to our prototype designs early and often, and let them rip ’em apart. The result is the Pro Gaming Keyboard with ultra-fast switches, durable construction, and a tenkeyless design that’s easy to transport. If you play to win, this is your keyboard”, he says.

Logitech’s G Pro Gaming Mouse will hit shelves with a recommended retail price of $99.99 alongside the Pro Mechanical Keyboard, which is priced at $179.95.

Both will be available through the retail channel and online from May.
