LG OLED Evo TV Range Bags More Awards

LG Electronic’s OLED evo TVs received the highest honour at the Visual Grand Prix (VPG) 2023, an annual annual audio-visual (AV) awards event held by Japanese AV media outlet Ongen Publishing.

The company collected the awards in the 50-to-60-inch and under-45-inch OLED TV categories.

“This premium 4K TV offers an impressive visual experience with its attention to detail and depth. The contrast ratio and black color display create beautiful visuals and its functions, including four HDMI 2.1 ports, make it convenient to use, ” said event organisers about the OLED evo range.

LG OLED evo was also selected as the best product in the 50-inch or below OLED TV category at the Best Buy 2022 Winter Awards by HiVi, one of Japan’s most prestigious audio/video media outlets.

Omdia, a London-based market research firm, predicted that this year would be the first where OLED devices occupy over 30 per cent of the Japanese television market.

If this prediction comes to fruition, it might be good for LG, especially because LG reported a $64 million loss in their TV business last year from the July to September period when prices were being marked down.

At CES this year, the Korean company announced their latest range of TVs which includes the Z3, G3, and C3 OLED Evo series TVs.

The Evo G3 features improved brightness with the help of Brightness Booster Max technology, claimed LG executives.

The G-series is also getting a design update as well with its ultra-seamless One Wall Design to eliminate the space between the wall and the TV for a more elegant look

Their new range include a host of updates including a new AI processor and a more personalised interface.
