Lenovo Appoints New Asia Pacific Marketing Head

Lenovo has appointed its new head of marketing for Asia Pacific, Bhaskar Choudhuri who was previously the head of marketing for the tech company’s Indian branch.

Choudhuri is taking over Nick Reynolds who is becoming Lenovo’s global head of marketing for digital, web and social media.

Choudhuri is tasked with expanding Lenovo’s brand footprint in the Asia Pacific region, and driving sales for PCs, Tablets and Smart Devices across diverse markets covering Japan, India, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia. He reports to Ken Wong, President of Lenovo Asia Pacific.

He will be based in Bangalore, India. 

Prior to this appointment, Choudhuri led the marketing team in India for the last five years, where he was responsible for marketing strategy and aligning marketing to the overall business objectives.

Under Choudhuri leadership, Lenovo says it launched its smartphones in the India market, as well as many new initiatives in the digital marketing space. He also played a key role in making Lenovo’s Services a brand differentiator through multiple activations, which greatly improved customer perception of Lenovo’s service quality.

Outgoing regional CMO Nick Reynolds, who drove significant improvement in Lenovo’s brand recognition in Asia Pacific for the last four years, is now focused on growing Lenovo’s digital and social media capabilities globally.
