Leica’s New Cine Play 1 Plus Projector Outputs 4K Video Up to 300 Inches
Leica has officially launched the Cine Play 1 Plus, a premium projector designed to bring a true cinema-style experience into the living room. It can project extremely large screen sizes at ultra high resolution. This is a higher tier model from the brand, and here is what it offers.
The Cine Play 1 Plus has just been unveiled in China. It can project an image up to 300 inches at 4K resolution, with a throw ratio between 0.9 and 1.5. The projector supports Dolby Vision and HDR10 Plus, and it also supports DTS Virtual X audio. This is a laser- based system with a brightness rating of 3,500 CVIA lumens and it covers 110 per cent of the BT.2020 colour gamut. Leica rates the RGB laser light source at 25,000 hours. The optical system uses a Leica Summicron zoom lens.

Inside the unit is a MediaTek MT9655 chipset, and there are 10 watt stereo speakers built in. The projector includes a tilt stand, and buyers can also pair it with an optional stand if they want a taller placement.
The Cine Play 1 Plus runs the VIDAA operating system, which gives access to major streaming platforms including Netflix. Connectivity includes HDMI 2.1, USB, and Ethernet.
The projector is being introduced in China with a price of 11,888 Yuan, which works out to approximately $2,554.82 AUD. Adding the optional stand raises the price to 13,887 Yuan, which is approximately $2,984.36 AUD. The new model arrives one year after the Leica Cine Play 1, which is another projector in the same 4K category.
