Leaked: Huawei Mate 10 Lite Specs
Recent leaks have revealed images and some product specifications for the upcoming Huawei ‘Mate 10 Lite’ – the third version of the to-be-launched Mate 10 series of smartphones.
The device is rumoured to be accompanied by the ‘Mate 10’ and ‘Mate 10 Pro’.
Despite being positioned as the most affordable of the trio, Huawei’s Mate 10 Lite does not appear to be a ‘budget’, or ‘bottom-end’ phone.
Recent leaks reveal the phone will feature a 5.9″ screen, 18:9 aspect ratio, an 83% screen-to-body ratio encompassed in full metal, and a unibody enclosure which would normally surround a 5.5″ display. The device’s 1080 x 2160 FHD+ resolution is higher than the display said to be included in the standard Huawei Mate 10.
The smartphone is said to be the Chinese-based company’s first FullView-equipped model, and is heralded Huawei’s premiere quad-camera handset.
For some tech-savvy individuals, this may sound familiar – that’s because Huawei is tipped to launch a doppelgänger for this model into the Chinese market imminently. The device is named the ‘G10/Maimang 6’.
Notable tech-leaker, Evan Blass, offered some substance to the rumours via a recent tweet, accompanying the image below:

The device includes a dual rear (16 megapixels) and a dual front camera (13 megapixels) with a high-resolution sensor, both boasting a secondary 2 megapixel module each.
The selfie camera is said to incorporate a ‘toning flash’.
Regarding internal hardware, the main components are described as high-end, though not ultra premium. The device is powered by an octal-core Kirin 659 system-on-chip at 2.36GHz, plus 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. The battery is said to offer a capacity of 3340Ah.
Finally, the smartphone will be powered by Android Oreo, and is tipped to be skinned with EMUI 5.1.
The phone will reportedly come in blue, black and gold and is tipped to retail for US$455.
Thus far, It’s unclear whether the device will launch in Australia.
Full details will be revealed at Huawei’s launch on October 16th in Munich.
