Leaked Google Pixel 3 XL Case Confirms ‘Notch’
Recent reports confirm Google’s Pixel 3 XL smartphone will feature an iPhone X-esque ‘notch’, following a series of phone cases posted to Chinese e-commerce marketplace AliExpress.
The news makes Google the latest smartphone manufacturer to incorporate the ‘notch’ and follows the likes of LG, Oppo, Motorola plus more.
Whilst some vendors have [thus far] resisted the rapidly growing notch trend – e.g. Samsung and HTC – it seems Google has now obliged.
The renowned ‘notch’ was first catapulted into the global limelight by Apple’s tenth anniversary smartphone, the iPhone X.
Posted to AliExpress, Pixel 3 and 3 XL cases are available in either Clear, Grey or Black.
The Pixel 3 XL appears to have a notch, with a dual front facing camera and single rear camera.
With the likes of Samsung, HTC and Huawei releasing dual [and triple] rear camera set-ups without incorporating a notch, it’ll be interesting to see the success of the forthcoming Pixel 3 & 3 XL upon launch.
