New renders have surfaced from SmartPrix (in collaboration with @OnLeaks), showing the addition of titanium, and sharp edges for the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Ultra.

According to the renders, gone are the curved screens, which some found to be damage-prone, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will have a flat-screen and the slimmest of Samsung bezels having ever been offered by the tech giant.

Similar to the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, there will be flat metallic side rails with slightly rounded edges.

There are also rumblings of a 6.8-inch display with 2,000 nits brightness output, Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip inside, and around 16GB of RAM.

There may also be 2TB storage and four cameras at the back in a familiar floating lens look.

The renders of the vanilla Galaxy S24 build on the Samsung Galaxy S23’s design but add the Apple-inspired flattened frame with sharp edges – a design choice that some may question due to that they may dig into palms.

Based on the renders, the remainder of the hardware profile is the same as the past model except for the new antenna band for an Ultra-Wideband (UWB) chip inside.

Perhaps the internal hardware will excite consumers with what SmartPrix believes will be a 6.17-inch OLED display, 45W charging, Qualcomm’s next-gen chip, and a triple camera array emphasised with a 50-megapixel primary snapper.

Adding to the sharp edges, it looks like Samsung is also adopting titanium for the Galaxy S24 series.

The positives are that titanium is more resistant to deterioration, is lighter, and has a longer higher longevity compared to stainless steel, but the concerns are that we have already seen Apple’s new titanium models have major overheating problems.

We expect to learn more when Samsung announces the launch of their new Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S24, probably around January or February 2024.
