Kaspersky Rolls Out Free Software

Trying to claw back some of the damage caused by alleged Russian links to recent ransomware attacks, Moscow-based Kaspersky Lab has announced it is rolling out a free version of its anti-virus software.

The product launch follows mounting speculation in the US that the cyber company is vulnerable to Russian government influence.

Kaspersky Free is to be available in the US, Canada, and several Asia-Pacific countries.
