Mad Men, Weeds: Quickflix Nabs Foxtel Faves

Mad Men, Weeds: Quickflix Nabs Foxtel Faves Quickflix ups its game screening Lionsgate TV shows previously only available via Foxtel on its internet streaming app, which costs $10 a month.

Quickflix signed a content licensing deal with Lionsgate to screen TV series here, it announced today. The hit series library will be available via Quickflix pay per episode and season pass.
Lionsgate hit TV series include Nurse Jackie, Orange is the New Black, Weeds and Mad Men.
Several of these shows are shown on Foxtel only and are not available on free-to-air. 
Quickflix has been targeting Foxtel’s Pay TV market for some time, highlighting its more “affordable” internet streaming service.
CEO Stephen Langsford said “Lionsgate has established a reputation for hugely successful and critically acclaimed film and TV content worldwide and this agreement allows us to bring to audiences edgy TV drama including those not previously broadcast on free-to-air.”
Quickflix recently announced its app would be available for Google Chromecast TV dongle, and is on Xbox One.
