JB Hi-Fi Extend Galaxy S10+ Pre-Orders Over “High Demand”

JB Hi-Fi has extended pre-orders of Samsung’s new Galaxy S10+ smartphone to March 15, citing “high demand.” Indicating top sellers, the extension applies to selected S10+ models, with delivery pushed to March 18.

Affected models currently include the new Galaxy S10+ 512GB (Ceramic Black), Galaxy S10+ 128GB (Prism Black) and Galaxy S10+ 512GB (Porcelain White) (below).

JB Hi-Fi owned subsidiary, The Good Guys, has also been affected, with the retailer’s website listing a “stock delay” notice for selected Galaxy S10 models (below).

“Deliveries for orders placed for this product from 7/3/19 will be delayed for a minimum of 2 weeks,” reads The Good Guys’ website for the Samsung Galaxy S10 128GB (Prism Black).

Other retailers such as Harvey Norman and Kogan.com appear not to be as affected, with the later selling a “direct import” international version for a cheaper price.

Whilst Officeworks has advertised the Galaxy S10 series on its website, the retailer is prompting consumers to go in-store, with each device marked “unavailable online” (below).

As competition for the Galaxy S10 range – which dropped in Australian stores today – intensifies, JB Hi-Fi has offered pre-order customers a “price guarantee”, pledging the “lowest price” should cost drop before release date.
