Ikea Australia Launches Very Swedish Member Program

Ikea has unveiled a new loyalty club that “aims to create meaningful connections for small businesses” – and also offers mindfulness tools and interior design experts.

Membership is free, and aside from the usual member discounts, also includes online training modules through its ‘Learn with Ikea’ hub, interior design consultations, financial tools, money tips, and even access to mindfulness resources.

It’s an odd sidestep from a company that is basically a retail warehouse open to the public, but it’s all part of Ikea’s expansion into services small businesses “unique needs”, according to Ikea Australia’s business leader Petra Toth.

“It might be design help with their physical space and product discounts, taking advantage of our business expertise with training, or tapping into wellbeing benefits they may not otherwise be able to provide their staff,” explains Toth.

There’s meatballs, too.
