IFA 2016: Jabra Enters True Wireless Earbuds Arena With Elite Sport

Headphones specialists Jabra are making their move into the minimalist wireless earbuds space with the new Jabra Elite Sport range.

Similar in design to Samsung’s IconX, the Elite Sport touts a cordless design and Jabra promise that the earbuds will hit all three of the companies’ priorities and deliver “outstanding stereo sound for calls and music, as well as full sports functionality.”

In line with the rest of the Jabra’s Sports range, they’ll boast integration with the company’s Sports Life app.

According to Jabra CEO René Svendsen-Tune, “We’ve used our R&D expertise from across the GN Group to deliver not just the most technically advanced true wireless sports earbuds, but actually the most complete cord-free experience for our customers.”

“Jabra Elite Sport is an example of an intelligent sound solution that delivers calls and music very well, and does so much more besides”.

Like Samsung’s product, the Elite Sport also features a carry-case that doubles as a charger for the earbuds. However, unlike the IconX – Jabra’s Elite Sport come waterproofed – an addition that makes it all the more suitable for the audience Jabra is chasing.

Jabra Elite Sport will be available online and in selected markets from Q4 2016.

Australian pricing has yet to be confirmed.
