HTC Adding 60FPS Video To U11

HTC have announced their flagship U11 smartphone will be receiving an upgrade to its camera, allowing it to support filming in 60 frames-per-second.

“The #HTCU11 keeps getting better: 60 FPS video recording support will be rolling out over the next couple of months to devices everywhere,” they announced over Twitter.

It’s been confirmed elsewhere that video taken with the device post-update will only be for 1080p video, not 4K.

The move comes only a week or so after a filing submitted to the US FCC indicated that HTC are moving to buffer up the U11’s Bluetooth capabilities to Bluetooth 5 via software update.
