HMD Luma 2 Leak Reveals Budget Phone With Copycat iPhone Design
HMD’s next budget smartphone, the Luma 2, has been leaked, revealing a large-screen Android handset with a 6,000mAh battery, 120Hz display and a design that appears heavily influenced by Apple’s latest iPhone Pro models.
Renders shared by tipster @smashx_60 show the Luma 2 sporting a rear panel with a rectangular camera platform across the upper back, as well as two vertically stacked camera rings – giving it a similar look to the iPhone 17 Pro design.
The device is expected to succeed the HMD Luma 4G, which launched in select markets earlier this year as an affordable smartphone.

According to the leak, the HMD Luma 2 will feature a 6.75-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is tipped to run on a Unisoc T7280 chipset, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
The phone is also expected to support virtual RAM expansion up to 8GB and microSD card expansion of up to 1TB.
On the camera front, the Luma 2 is tipped to include a 50MP primary rear sensor alongside a secondary AI lens, plus an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Other expected features include Android 16, a 3.5mm headphone jack, OZO Audio support and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Battery life could be a key selling point, with the handset reportedly packing a 6,000mAh battery, though charging is limited to 18W wired speeds.
The leak does not mention HMD’s newer feature-phone services, including its digital wallet, Xpress Chat video calling or AI assistant tools, which were announced at Mobile World Congress. Its unlikely they will be included on the Luma 2.
Pricing and launch timing have not yet been confirmed.
