Hitachi Vantara Appoints New ANZ VP & MD

Hitachi has announced the appointment of a new vice president and managing director for the Australia and New Zealand arm of its data systems company Hitachi Vantara.

Former Royal Australian Navy officer and senior Dell, Fuji Xerox, and Sun Microsystems executive Adrian Johnson joins Hitachi Vantara from digital experience software company Liferay, Inc, where Hitachi said he “led a transformation of the business that resulted in significant growth”.

It’s hoped Mr Johnson can now bring similar results to Hitachi Vantara, with a focus on the partner ecosystem, business strategy and continued business growth.

Hitachi Vantara APAC senior vice president and general manager Daniel Chong said Mr Johnson “will drive local co-creation opportunities and innovative data-driven strategies that aim to deliver business value and accelerate digital transformation for our customers and partners.”
