Hisense, No Response From Harvey Norman Over Kick Out Claims
Mystery surrounds whether Harvey Norman has kicked Chinese TV and appliance Company Hisense out of their stores.
For the second day running ChannelNews has asked senior Hisense and Harvey Norman executives to confirm or deny the claims made by three sources to ChannelNews, that the big retailer has chosen to part Company with Hisense after being snubbed by the owners of the Toshibas TV brand.
We have had no response to our emails or text messages.
What we do known is that earlier this month Harvey Norman cut a deal to take on board a new European TV brand with stock set to hit stores mid-2022.
We have also been told that The Good Guys who are set to expand their Loewe TV range is also set to take on another European TV brand that is manufactured in China.
ChannelNews has given Hisense the opportunity to deny the claims or tell us that their long-term relationship is continuing with Harvey Norman.
Earlier this year the General Manager of Hisense Tania Garonzi, announced that she was set to join Harvey Norman arch-rival The Good Guys as Merchandising Director
.
Andrea Iannuzzi the former marketing director Garonzi’ s husband also quit.
Harvey Norman insiders claim that the pair knew what Harvey Norman was planning in the TV market.
