Google Pay Available in Australia

Google recently announced it would be merging Android Pay and Google Wallet into one payment system, Google Pay or G Pay with the new payment system now available for Aussie users.

Ausdroid points out a number of Android devices has the option on the Tap and Pay setting along with the standard bank option.

Pali Bhat, VP of Product Management, Payments at Google says, “With Google Pay, it’ll be easier for you to use the payment information saved to your Google Account, so you can speed through checkout with peace of mind. Over the coming weeks, you’ll see Google Pay online, in store, and across Google products, as well as when you’re paying friends.”

Check your settings Android users and tap away.
