Google Admit To Pixel 6 Pro Flickering Issues, Software Bug

With hefty hardware like QHD+ LTPO display, Tensor chipset, and an impressive battery, Google’s Pixel 6 Pro looked like the company’s first solid entry into the smartphone market. But then users started reporting issues with the screen flickering.

There were reports that while partially pressing the power button, horizontal strips appeared on the screen.

Also, users may have noticed slight display artefacts when the unit is turned off, or when they try to activate the unit with slight pressure on the power button but not enough to turn it on.

Google have now acknowledged the problem, insisting it isn’t a hardware issue. They say it’s a software bug that will get fixed in the next update, scheduled to be available next month.

That update is also said to be fixing other bugs.
