Brisbane-based digital signage provider Fusion Signage has achieved ISO 27001 certification while surpassing 20,000 active user licences, marking a significant milestone week for the company.

The certification, a globally recognised standard for information security management, comes alongside the company’s recent SOC 2 Type II attestation – placing Fusion Signage among a relatively small group of vendors holding both credentials.

Fusion Signage managing director James Ingram said the dual achievements reflect both strong customer growth and a deep investment in security.

“It’s been a momentous few weeks,” Ingram said. “Reaching 20,000 licences shows how quickly the platform is scaling, while ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II give customers confidence that their data is handled to the highest standards.”

Fusion said it took several years to reach its first 10,000 licences, but only half that time to double the figure.

The ISO 27001 certification covers the company’s full operations, including platform development, internal processes and data handling practices. The audit was conducted by certification body Sensiba.

According to Ingram, the certification process took more than 12 months and required organisation-wide changes, including reworking internal systems and dedicating significant resources to formalising security controls.

“Security isn’t a checkbox exercise, it’s a responsibility,” he said. “This certification reinforces a mindset we’ve had from the start: building a platform customers can trust to just work.”

Fusion said the move comes amid growing concerns around data breaches and increasing use of AI-driven technologies, making robust security frameworks more critical for businesses deploying digital signage at scale.
