Fox To Close Fox Bet Online Gambling Business

Fox Corp. along with Flutter Entertainment are in talks to shut down the Fox Bet online gambling business beginning August 1st.

Flutter is expected to keep the customer database and market-access agreements, with announcement set to come any day.

Fox is expected to retain rights to the Fox Bet brand, and the Super 6 promotion, along with an option to acquire an 18.6% stake in FanDuel.

Controlled by Rupert Murdoch, Fox’s online betting is a huge potential growth business heavily during football games.

Orginally, Fox and Stars Group created Fox Bet, but then Stars was acquired by Flutter, focusing on FanDuel and not expanding Fox Bet as much as wanted by executives.

There are rumours Fox has had talks with other sport betting operators around marking agreements.
