Former Dick Smith & Sony Executive To Head Appliances At Samsung

Former Dick Smith Interim General Manager Jeremy Senior has been appointed Director, Home Appliances at Samsung.

Senior, spent the last 18 months at Dick Smith after being hired by former Dick Smith CEO Nick Aboud. A former Sony executive Senior will report to his old boss former Sony CEO Carl Rose who was recently appointed as Vice President of Consumer at Sony.

As interim General Manager at Dick Smith Senior was responsible for buying, merchandise planning and marketing functions.
 
During his tenure at Sony, Mr Senior drove the channel strategy for consumer products in Australia across a broad and diverse retail network.
 
Mr. Senior also has a wealth of knowledge and experience working across a range of consumer goods industries and channels including eight years with Arnott’s Biscuits Limited where he led cross functional customer teams. 
 
In his role at Samsung, Mr. Senior will be responsible for the growth and development of the Home Appliances division. He will lead the Home Appliance team including Mike Lilly, Head of Product (Home Appliances). 
 
“Mr. Senior is a valuable addition to the Consumer Electronics team to drive strong results while encouraging efficiency across all organisational levels and functions,” said Harry Lee, President Samsung Electronics Australia.
