Panasonic Pushes 65-Inch Plasma As Its New Smart TV Range Topper
The TH-P65VT30A replaces the VT20A as the flagship model in the series, now taking pole position as Panasonic’s largest but thinnest Viera screen to date.
“This model is hands-down Panasonic’s best-ever VIERA TV in terms of picture quality, design, and connectivity,” said Panasonic’s Australian marketing manager for plasma screens, Adam Faccin.
This 3D-ready 65 inch model sits at 39mm thick and packs in ‘smart TV’ functions that are fast becoming the norm in the latest flagship models of big brand TVs, with competitors like LG and Samsung already leading their way with their versions.
These added functions include IPTV, Internet radio and other online service functions like Facebook, Twitter and Skype access. There is also an added USB port and SD card slot for use as a removable PVR and for playback straight from stored media.
The TV comes bundled with a WiFi dongle and one pair of 3D glasses in a package that’ll set buyers back $5299.
